Artwork Requirements

Ensuring artwork is truly 100% Print ready.

Our priority is to offer a high-quality print product on time & right the first time.

The ideal format to be supplied is a vector file. A vector file allows us to edit individual elements of the image. This format will reduce costs and speed up delivery, ensuring the highest printing quality.

However, we understand that this is not always achievable & have the following guidelines:

  1. Acceptable File formats – Exported files in Vector format
    Encapsulated Postscript (.EPS)
    Editable PDF (not image)
    Adobe Illustrator (.Ai)
  2. Artwork –  If vector artwork can’t be sourced, then a resolution of at least 300 dpi must be supplied. Note that non-vector art (raster/bitmap) cannot be edited, i.e., Colour changes, etc.
  3. Source materials – Avoid using linked artwork. The source material must be supplied or embedded into the file.
  4. Safe Area
    1. All artwork must have at least a 3mm safe area.
    2. Full-print border name badges have a 2.5mm bleed area, and neoprene products have a 5mm bleed area outside the artwork.
  5. Colours – Please quote colours in Pantone (PMS colours). Do not use RGB or Hex colour formats. CMYK can be used, but we cannot colour match; due to our manufacturing techniques, our printers cannot be calibrated to true CMYK outputs.
  6. Fonts – Fonts should be packaged and embedded or converted to vector paths. Supply any custom fonts being used in designs.
  7. File Handling
    1. Do not compress files; this can result in pixelated images
    2. To avoid confusion, please supply individual files for each job
  8. Unacceptable formats – Word Documents, Publisher, PowerPoint, or any other Office-based program, as well as some jpegs, gifs, pngs, etc, are not high quality enough for finished artwork. Redraw fees would apply to any of these formats.
  9. Redraw fee – if we need to redraw logos, we charge a fee of $50 for a simple design and $100 for a complex design.
